Some takes the highest position in life. Some are not that fortunate. What if PH will not send anymore talented and skilled OFW, is the world will be same?


No more Philippine maid to serve their masters.


Some countries still can supply manpower from white collar jobs to blue collar jobs but not that talented and hardworking compare to Pinoys.

Answer is : NOTHING will change

I think TS, you're overrating Filipino skills and talent. It's all about money. In singapore, ordinary cleaners are set to receive increases that would bring their take home pay to the equivalent of over 30k pesos per month. (TODAYonline | Singapore | 10,000 cleaners set to receive pay bumps) imagine if SM or jollibee pays the same amount to their rank and filers, do you think people will still leave to work abroad?
Now here's something to think about:
Henry Sy's net worth is $ 9.1 billion or roughly 380 BILLION pesos. If this were divided among his 75,000+ employees, each would receive 5million! The point i am driving at is that if the rich and well off were not greedy or at the very least cared more for their employees, they can actually afford to pay more than what they are paying now (or they wouldn't have amassed so much wealth in so short a period). Wealth would have been more evenly distributed. Workers need not go abroad at the expense of family.

i can imagine the world without OFWs would be one where the Philippines is actually a rich nation with humble and contented citizens and not a poor one pretending to be rich (with the high sense of entitlement everywhere they go) when in fact, the most wealth belong only to the least number of uber rich families.

looy kaau ang mga tapulan, not proud ko that pinoys are working abroad kay mga salbahis kaau ang kasagaran amo labi na sa middle east mga manyak ug sadista kaau sila, pero unsaon man lisod man pangita work sa pinas, gamay sweldo then gobyerno dili ka provide trabaho.. daghan lagi professionals pero saon man gamay kaau opportunity diri sa atoa mao wala lain choice.. OFW nalang bahala mingaw ug layo sa family
