law is silent as to the specifics... but here's what it says about dog bites:

Sec. 5 Responsibilities of Pet Owner

f. Assist the dog bite victim immediately and shoulder the medical expenses incurred and other incidental expenses relative to the victim's injury.

Sec. 11 Penalties

4. Pet owners .... and do not shoulder the medical expenses of the person bitten by their dog shall be meted a fine of P 25,000.00

fyi lang. though there was no mention of absolution in cases where the biting incident happened inside the premises of the owner.

there is. RA 8485 penalizes any person found to have tortured or maltreated any animal.
