we were there last year, at Mangodlong Rock Resort. they have an office in Mandaue. Beautiful resort gyud, and friendly staff pa gyud! We went by way of Danao, not sure how much fare sa jeep going there coz gihatod man mi ug friend. Cguro mga Php15? Then ferry boat from Danao to Consuelo cost us 150 each, den jeep from Consuelo to Mangodlong is 30. We were able to negotiate with the owner nga mag-tent lang mi for overnyt stay instead of room. They charged us 100/head, 7 mi kabuok. So we only paid 700, coz ila rooms at the time aircon only tag 1500. The cottages were not for overnight stay coz wala man sa beach, naa sa rock island out on the water, then if high tide kay langoyon pa nimo.

Affordable ra pud food sa ila restaurant at d time, and fresh jud kaayo ang fish.

i grew up in camotes and go there twice a year. I am just amazed how it has become so popular nowadays. 5 years ago, nobody knew what it is and where it can be found. not until they get a map.. most people didnt even know it is still part of Cebu. There are no resorts yet and we just go to any beach we can find and nobody bothers us. I remember i used to go with my lolo with his fishing boats (more like a ship though) and we dock in that place. it was so serene but captivating, now people flock to the place. and santiago is nothing more than an ordinary barangay. Now, it has become so popular that it is synonymous to camotes itself. But i have heard, Lhuillier is building a multi million (a billion is guess) first class resort and golf club in himensulan. wow!!! Anyway, in lake lanao, there used to wild crocodiles and monkeys there. its gone now anyway. The best beaches in san fran are privately owned, by the duranos, lhuilliers and by the notable locals in esperanza. For me, the best beaches in camotes are in esperanza but most of it are privately owned. they have the widest and longest stretch of beach and there are no resorts yet, that is why it is really special!! more on camotes next time......
