you have 2 containers, a 3 liter container and a 5 liter container, these containers dont have any liter graduation just the maximum capacity. how do you obtain 4 liters of water using only these two containers?

Fill the 5 liter container, then pour the water into the 3 liter container. Then pour the remaining 2 liters in the 5 liter container out. then transfer the water from the 3 liter container into the 5 liter container. then fill the 3 liter container with water and pour the water into the 5 liter container. so right now the 5 liter container is full and 3 liter container is left with 1 liter. pour the water in the 5 liter container out. then transfer the water from the 3 liter container into the 5 liter container, then fill the 3 liter container then transfer water into the 5 liter container. 3+1=4 liter of water in the 5 liter container.
