Ohh yes!!! and you think that justifies their reason to "hack" these websites simply because it has low protection?!?!?! The more they should not disrupt it. Ohhh please!! Stop patronizing wrong doings simply because you think the government is that crappy!

Point of the matter is, THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS GROUP TO DO SUCH THINGS. Why? in the end, what they did is WRONG!

    "This is for everybody"....

... Was the message given by the inventor of the internet. The web is not the Wild West, but neither should it be controlled or unduly influenced by government.

DDOS, can be done by anyone even by a 5 year old kid... you get 30,000 5 year old kid pressing refresh non-stop on a browser that will take down the site, the tool use by anon just automates that action... most of anon attack are layer 3/4 ddos attack... which requires a lot of user to do... on the other hand, lulzsec are select few members of anon, they call them the elite, this people are responsible for attacking the CIA... however they are kicked n the butt by the jester by de-anonymizing them... most of them are already capture except for one... nga leader2x nila...

one thing i dont like about them is the way how they trick other people, they will say help us in taking down a site by downloading this tool... ang naka parat ang mga taw nga nagpailad maoy ma paksit sa authority... while anon is just far away ug dili ma trace... their tool uses IRC so its very primitive...

on the other hand... the partriot hacker named the th3j3st3r fights against anons.... he is the one responsible for de-anonymizing lulzsec... what i like about th3j3st3r he is covert... he knows how to hide its tracks and most of all he works alone... he take down wikileaks singlehandedly....

th3j3st3r uses other layer of DDOS, which can be initiated on a 3g phone....

there are lot of method in bringing down a site... its just a matter of how you do it... but i dont recommend in doing it unless you are white hat..
point taken but I think Lulzsec just shut-down themselves, after all its only a 50day attack.

Anything that threatens the internet and its citizens are wrong. What the senate did was wrong. That prompt people to hacktivism, which is also wrong.

Its only a matter of lesser evil vs. greater good! Nobody owns the internet, and nobody has the right in doing so. pfft~

Ohhh and reverting to doing another WRONG simply makes what they did right?!?!?!?! Common! No wonder the cybercrime law was implemented....

Yes, I agree that no one owns the internet but their are governing laws that should be practiced! Again, and what they did was obviously "UNETHICAL HACKING"

In the end, it's wrong..bali balihon man nimo ang kalibutan..it is downright WRONG!

Sure ko boss, dili man ko toud ko expert about network security since wala man ko nakapractice ani na field(by the way, I'm an IT grad & finished all 4 modules of CNAP). Kung accessible lang ang pc/server from the inside, pwede man sad ang social engineering. I'm not sure, kung effective pa ba kaha karon with the recent security technologies(CCTVs, biometric/retina scan & etc.). I still believe that modern hackers/crackers can still find a way to break the system. It may take days, weeks, months or years pero dili imposible. Pasalamat na lang ta sa mga white hats, nagsige provide network security tools/apps/patches sa atoa in anticipation for any security glitches na pwede ma-exploit sa mga black hats to gain anauthorized access.
