high_ heels i agree with you na daghan graduates = higher competition....
daghan RN's = limited opportunities of going abroad (in terms of demand sa foreign countries)
pero palpak ang atoang government to regulate the course, para unta dili magsugwak ug magbaha ug RN's unya dili makapractice sa ilaha profession........

correct! palpak jud ang gobyerno. mao bitaw naghimo na lang sila anang program nga gitawag natog NARS and RN Heals para pud intawn mapahimuslan ang mga RN nato diri sa pinas. sad thing is, good for 1 year ra pud na. so asa mn na sila punta after mo expire ilang contract? naa bay gahuwat nga trabaho sa city, sa province, etc? wala! mao ng nag CC nalang ng uban. Career Change.

according to maam high_heels, "...you my dear RN's are forced to work locally just to earn a living..." how can they EARN a living if wala silay ma EARN ky pwerteng ka gamay sa sweldo?

"LOL, naa pa RN Heals 4 bro. dili pana ma expire ilang contract kay pwede pana moapply balik ang mga previous NARS, RN Heals 1,2,3 basta naay BACKER." Bisan dili na pwede, himuan gihapon na ug ways para makasud sila balik. Lusot gihapon na."

Here in the Philippines, nepotism and backer system believed to be the essential requirements in applying a job. They don't rely on the mere qualifications/expertise but rather than establishing close family ties or some political reasons. It's clearly evident and even fellow applicants noticed it. Wondering why? because most hospitals here adopt this system and it's now part of our culture.

It is a universal attitud even in USA if you don't know someone or somebody, your priority is not on their radius. Especially if on same level of category, quality, and qualification.

Ex. A Filipino nurse formerly a DON of 4yrs applied to a hosp as Case Manager in spite being endorse by a fellow Filipino charge nurse or nursing supervisor but because the other applicant was an in-house meaning also a hospital staff known to the Hospital Director. The latter was accepted.

Another Example : Because the DON of a Home Health Facilities was a Filipino and known to a Filipino applicant. The applicant was accepted as Case Manager.

I know nga sakit sa inyong buot nga nangamuti inyong sweldo diri sa pilipinas...pero wala tay ma hems ana...kay ngano man Taas ang supply sa nurses sa atoa, therefore there is really no need for them to provide salaries nga ing ana ka competitive sa salaries sa RN abroad. Kamo na gani ga sulti daan nga kuwang ug medical facilities ang pilinas, sweldo pa kaha sa mga nurses in the government hospitals nga patas-an nila to at least 20k starting pay?

And my understanding as well, government employed nurses are getting higher pay scale compared to Privately owned hospitals... So if gagmay man gani mo ug sweldo, in most cases I believe its the private sector who gives lower salaries.

For short, mag antos gyud ang mga nursing grads and registered nurses diri sa pinas kung ang inyo man lang gi pang ambisyon is income in US dollars. Kay laktod nga pagkastorya bro peewee_toot, di maka afford atong gobyerno pa sweldo ninyo ug ing ana ka dak-a.

In a sense bro, they are partially to be blamed...but in fairness to the government, it was not their primary fault to close the door of opportunities for the RNs.... It is the government of UK, US, and unsa pa tong first world countries ang ni pa undang ug recruit sa mga filipino nurses.

So to the RN's, instead of leaving all the blame to the "palpak government" of ours, I suggest you look at the other side and see where else you can excel or at least have a career in.

Kay sa tinud-anay lang, di man lisud mangita ug trabaho or income kung maabilidad ra ka nga klase sa pagka tawo.

Really? I see nepotism still exists even in the US. Thanks for sharing bro. I assumed you're also a USRN. I wonder why American laws can't prohibit with that kind of issue. I believed as what you've stated earlier that it's an implicit agreement by endorsement (Filipino to Filipino basis) somehow taking the advantage.

Worst is that it can be a form of racial discrimination resulting less chances in getting hired. I probably deplore the fact because Filipino nurses are very diligent. Their contributions are badly needed in the health care industry.

Well, it really binds especially running with family owned business. They rather choose family members/friends/relatives that may brought long term commitment while degrading incompetence. It seems that their company will steer to the desired path of success. Regarding politics, we all know the possible risk LOL. It might be vulnerable to bribery and corruption but anyway there's still more issues and concerns to address aside from this matter.

it is a human nature to accommodate what you know or whom you know aside from culture. it is the degree of responsibility that you know the caliber of the person you accepted.

mag antus? so ok ra nimo nga i-exploit imong fellowmen? diba we have laws regarding this? asa na mn na rn? gina implement ba? wala!
