If your text messaging with that classmate of yours is purely friendship (no sweet2x or igat2x) then there's no way your gf will get mad given you don't do much of texting especially when you are with her. I think she already had enough of your selfishness or whatever you had argued before, behavior, lack of time etc. But alas to that effort you made for her, THAT IS SO SWEET! Not many guys do that nowadays only in movies...

Give her up, if you two are really meant for each other and if you really love her, she will find you. Do something productive, do not find another girl or entertain a new relationship yet, give it a time for heart aches to heal. As for your gf, if one day soon (fingers crossed) she's already with a new guy then that's the time you'll let go of her TOTALLY...
