try using a tool like jdiskreport ( http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/ ) using the tool, you will see which files or folders are eating up your hard disk space in drive c:
i had problem with partitioning before. sometimes, when you install a new drive, the partitioned drive letter changes. sometimes, when your disk crashes, all those files in the partition drive are included during the process. what's really best is to have a separate disk for system and the other/s is for the "sweet nothing" such as music, video, pictures, etc. in that way, you don't have to worry about disk space anymore and also the risk of having to run partition software that may erase/ruin/crash your disk. i have 250G for my drive C and 80G for whatever stuff other than the system programs. i believe it is much faster having a dedicated drive rather than having the same disk with different drives. my opinion
mail me. iwill share to youa freeware software called ezcleaner.
