What an absurd attempt at justifying the unjustifiable. Canada and China are not Islamic states, nor do they belong to the continent of Africa. Both of these individuals belong to modern societies and are not part of some ancient tribe. The age of consent in Canada is 16 and in China it is 14.

Sadly commonsense seems to disappear in the face of money and celebrity. Just look at the parents who allowed their "kids" to have sleepovers with Michael Jackson drinking Jesus Juice and lord knows what else. Had he not been massively wealthy and famous the parents probably would never have gone along with it and authorities would have been all over Neverland Ranch at the first whiff of trouble instead of waiting in fear of high paid attorneys.

Who said anything about Canada? Way to ignore the rest of the post while throwing in red herrings. I don't justify abything, just pointing out that ethnocentrism - acting like Pinoys are such paragons of morality when we lead corruption and the number of single mothers and mail order brides in South East Asia - is the height of hypocrisy. I'm also pointing out that following the decadent lifestyles of the west because it is "modern" is plain foolishness. I don't subscribe to these foolish ideas, sorry.

The thread is about two individuals, their nationalities are Chinese and Canadian. Ethnicity is not the issue here and "modern" is entirely relevant as behavior considered acceptable in bygone days is often illegal or socially unacceptable in the present such is the nature of progress.
