peace and order..
1) I hate queuing for hours just get a permit or license or anything. It wastes a lot of time. If the application itself can be filed online, that would be great. The submission of supporting documents can be hand-delivered on a per-appointment basis.
2) Eliminate the "system loss" component in our electric bill!!! VECO charges "System loss" on everyone; it's their way of passing the cost of electricity theft to everyone.
3) De-criminilize Libel. Saying something bad about somebody is so common. Kids do that a lot in school and they all know words are just words and you need not resort to violence. If the media says something incriminating, the accused party always has the right of reply to clear the air. Nobody has to go bankrupt or go to jail for speaking their mind. I think the courts have their hands already full with crimes that involve spilling of blood.
4) Put the ceiling on taxes at 25%. Let people keep more of what they've worked hard for.
5) I want zero tariffs on imported goods. If it's cheaper to buy from another country, yes, that might harm a local producer but at the same time it creates new opportunities for an entrepreneur who can take advantage of that cheap price.
6) Reduce airport tax and terminal fee. The robbery here is too much.

Although pila pa ko katuig diri (been here all my life but I mean I'm just 22), kabantay ko nag-anam na ug ka-develop ang north and south. \m/ I remember in grade school diha' from Cansaga dapit puro mga punoan ug kadena de amor akong maagian on my way to school sa San Narciso, pero karon wala' nay green makita' puro na commercial establishments. Pun-an pa gyud naa nay SM sa Consolacion? Unya' ang SRP tukuran ug Citta di Mare? Ang Naga naa nay university? I guess we're looking at a less-than-decade timeframe dako' na ug kausaban ang province of Cebu. Ang Reclamation road mingaw kaayo na' saona, karon unsa na. That, in just a few years. I bet ang SRP mangturok ra pud ang mga building diha' before we know it.
The way I see it, our transportation infrastructure is barely keeping up with the commercial progress our province is making ... We will soon need highways, and I mean highways that are wide enough to accomodate the daily traffic brought upon by our growing economy.
Regarding discipline, it will take a strategic approach to make an inch of improvement ... stricter licensing process may not be enough. One good start I see is proper/stricter enforcement of traffic rules, assuming there is sufficient manpower.
We will also have to accept that our obsolete transportation systems may eventually be eliminated.
Kausa nag-commute ko I had to throw a coke can, but the jeep had no trash bin. I had to hang on to it and wait until naay maagian na basurahan, it took 5 minutes before I saw one. I think an increase in visible disposal systems can be a huge help. Padaghana ang basurahan para dili' mapul-an ug kupot ang tag-iya sa basura.
Dako' kaayo ug difference ang ma-cause sa hayag na kalsada. Walking in a well-lit alley offers a safe and modern environment. Good point
Glad to have Cebuanos actually caring! Keep it up Ma'am!
