Tsk, tsk, tsk...mas maayo cguro kung fundamentalist Protestant na lang ka, given your interpretation of all these antichrist mumbo jumbo. Haven't you read St. Augustine? My goodness, Catholic man unta ka, unya fundamentalist kaayo ka ug understanding. I find it ironic that I, who used to be a practicing Catholic, will be the one to teach you about St. Augustine's view on this matter. Believe you me, I have more Catholic education than you do and I've read the Bible from cover to cover. And yes, the Book of Revelation is one of those I've read...in horror. If you take it literally, you'd say that they're the writings of a madman. Tsk, tsk, tsk...anyway, I'll do the St. Augustine interpretation as a favor to you.
St. Augustine says that this antichrist reference can only be constructive rather than destructive (e.g. when it leads to the persecution of rival religions), if only we look to ourselves rather than to others we deem 'evil'. This was the message of St. Augustine, an early church father in 5th century A.D. When St. Augustine preached to his congregation about the antichrist, he says that each of you must question whether YOU are an antichrist....whether YOU pretend to be a Christian but really aren't a Christian and are really acting against the meaning of Christ and Christ's love.
The Bible can either be read in an enlightened way or in a mischievous way. How you read it actually reflects upon your maturity. Tell that to the next fundamentalist you come across. Thanks.
i coudn't agree more with what St.augustine said.

St.augustines POV about the antichrist was of course true...
that we can all be antichrist ourselves in our own way in the same manner that we can be
like the pharisees with our legalistic minds..
i think that is what saint agusutine was pointing out...
with regard to what i said about the revelation of end times...
i don't need to be a fundie to get the same interpretation with the conspiracy i shared earlier..
all i know is that i need to figure something out and take care of the salvation Christ has purchased for me...
and yes you're right if taken literally the book of revelations will be words of a mad man...
trust me, i did not interpret them literally..otherwise i would've thought the antichrist to be a beast with many heads...
and the mark or brandings to be that of the medieval times.
that's why i said you may wanna search about the conspiracy
yourself..perhaps you might get a better explanation than i did..
