LOL! after Sergio was robbed in the Cintron 154lbs fight, he and P.Williams fought @160lbs and were considered the two best 154lbers in the World and he stayed at 160lbs cause of Pavlik and a rematch w/ Williams would be big fights for him and there were no valuable fights were @ 154lbs not until Cotto and Canelo emerge in the divsion as serious contenders. that's why he's planning to go back in to his real weight class @ 154lbs and he said it before that his real weight class is at Light Middleweight 154lbs. They were already eyeing a fight with either Mayweather or Cotto or Canelo @154lbs and Ward to come down to 160lbs for his next fight but sadly he'll have to do a rematch with Chavez Jr. were he'll dominate again like the first 11 rounds.


And you want him to fight at a higher weight class @168lbs were he'll be even more undersized for the weight class LOL!

of course talent and skills ang mo dag daog pero it doesn't mean size matters doesn't matter and you should know that! His frame ain't a true middleweight and moving up to 168lbs would mean he's gonna lose some speed and KO power also. The reason he'll balloon up come fight night like all fighters do cause you want your fighter to be bigger so that he can handle the power. Like what JCCjr is doing, he comes up to 190lbs fight night cause it'll make your chin sturdier and you'll be harder to fall!

If Martinez would fight Ward at 168lbs IMHO he'll be destroyed but at 160lbs it'll be a toss up. As you can see Martinez is always the smaller fighter at 160lbs but his speed makes him successful in this weight class. 154lbs is his true weight class and it doesn't mean he walks around that weight on a normal day but it's his real optimum and fit weight to fight. He'll destroy everyone at 154lbs and i hope big name fighters will step up! A rematch with Margarito will be a great start back to Light Middleweight and redeem his only true loss.
