those are mere interpretations lang bai..unless maka kita jud ta ug verse nga niingun Jesus is not God,He was just an example and we can all be Christ in when we reach a certain maturity in life.

problem is, even drunkards are qouting bible verses about Jesus turning water into wine...
about what paul said we should drink wine as it is good for the body...
as a justification for their drinking habits?
and some people hated God because of the violence in the old testament
point is, if we rely so much in our own interpretaiotn plus the interpretation of those who do not believe..
huge tendency that we could end up really missing the real message that God was trying to convey.
then how would you explain the verses? basin wa ni sa bible?

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matt. 7:21-23)

"My teaching is not my own. It comes from Him who sent me." (John 7:16)

"If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but He sent me." (John 8:42)

-this serves as a warning to those who think they are righteous enough or the hypocrites(those who do good to gain fame,or those who are using God to show off) perhaps..
sa mga religious fanatics who proudly presents their deeds to God as an assurance for their salvation..

the answer is JOHN 3:16 bai...if Jesus was not God, how come that we ought to believe in HIM to be saved?

kana imung gi istorya maoy klaro ang assumption bro..
assumption in a way nga imu gi generalize, it doesnt mean nga it's happening in some of the christian churches...basin most pa gani...wa na nagpasabut nga mao jud na ang actual nga pagtulon.an ug pang hitabo...

gi unsa nako pagkahibaw nga dili ka kahinumdum sa imung past life?actually wa ko kahibaw...you're right ning assume ra pud ko...
but that assumption is bsed in reality..naa kay nailhan nga nakahinumdum siya sa iyang past life?
...and ako mismo walay koy nahimduman bai, maski pagpanganak ni mama sa ako wa ko kahinumdum, past life pa ka?and if naa man ganiy mu claim nga to have memories about thier past lives, how sure are you that it is legit?
and besides like i said, wala pa ko natagbaw sa Christian faith...
so far so good,i still have packs and loads of questions but again, i'm not done with my search yet....
i think i never will..till now new learnings come to place..sa Christian faith pa lang na ha...
kung ako pang apilan ug other teachings, di kaha ko maglibug ug samut? but for now...
being a Christian is the best part of my life

mao bitaw ni suggest ko nga unta before ka mu venture ug other beliefs, why not i sub2x nimu imung kaugalingun sa Christian teachings...ask as many questions as possible...if wa ka na satisfied sa pari, or pastir nga imu giistorya...pangutana ug lain...pangutana mga lay christians...try re reading the bible over and over again...
try to hear other interpretations...like what you're doing right now...
listen to Christian's POV usa before ka mu venture ug other POV...at least you will have
    a basis of your comparison.

can you at least share a verse about JEsus talking about elijah and john bai?
in that way, it would be easier for me to give insights...

Was John the Baptist really Elijah? extracted bro....

    • Yes, he was Elijah (Matthew 11:13-14) - "For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. 14"And if you care to accept it, he himself is Elijah, who was to come."
    • No, he was not Elijah (John 1:19-21) - "And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent to him priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" 20And he confessed, and did not deny, and he confessed, "I am not the Christ." 21And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" And he *said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No."

The teaching of reincarnation is against the Old Testament; therefore, Jesus was not teaching that John the Baptist was Elijah reincarnated. So, what did Jesus mean when He said that John the Baptist was Elijah? We see in Malachi 4:5 this prophecy, "Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord." Jesus is referring to the prophecy concerning Elijah. We see that the coming of Elijah was in the spirit of Elijah, which is so stated in Luke 1:13-17. The context is when Zecharias, John's father-to-be, was performing his priestly duties in the temple (Luke 1:8ff). An angel of the Lord appeared to Zacharias and said,
"Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John. 14"And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine or liquor; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, while yet in his mother’s womb. 16"And he will turn back many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. 17"And it is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous; so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord," (Luke 1:13-17).
