MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III’s approval and trust ratings for the third quarter of the year increased by 11 percent and 13 percent respectively since May, according to Pulse Asia’s latest national survey.

“Almost eight in ten Filipinos approve of President Aquino’s performance in the past three months and express trust in him,” Pulse Asia said, indicating a majority of Filipinos at 78 percent of the population.

The renewed appreciation for Aquino is a rebound from the May dip in his marks reported by the survey firm. Aquino's trust rating last May was 65 percent while his approval rating was 68 percent.
