...actually, that was the law of their tme. Criminals are crucified or tied to a tree. Though Jesus was innocent of any crimes, they found him guilty anyway. I was kind of looking for passages or verses that says he was nailed to a "cross" and can't find that somewhere... maybe I wasn't looking hard... anyone?

death of Christ means salvation from sins:
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

What really the purpose of being crucified? Is is the act of anti christ?
...been rereading this statement many times if I get it correctly.
... bluntly speaking, he was crucified by the impressions of many that he was the son of god...
... I'm not sure if it is/was anti-christ but one thing I can add, they don't like anyone to tell them what is wrong and what is right.

just heard it from CNN today, a scholar said that James Cameron and that other guy got it wrong. nasayop daw sila pag interpret sa name didto sa tomb. it's not mary magdalene daw but mary something. i'll try to look it up @ CNN.com basi naa sila article about this nga naka post didto. the scholar even offered Mr. Cameron and his partner a semester of study at the university where he's teaching for free para daw dili sila magpataka lang.
