I am a true believer of life insurance.. and i already accepted the fruits of my monthly payments and that was when i got sick and immediately my agent did her best to help me with her promise from the time i trusted her with life insurance.. and well, i thanked her for pushing me to get one.. even though it is hard on my part especially i am earning a minimum wage. so i have to do oT's and sidelines just to keep on paying my insurance..

let us just think it this way,

"IF THE YOUNGER YOU IS SELFISH, THE OLDER YOU WILL SUFFER.."

i have one policy which is a health protection and now, i am making up my mind to buy another policy, this time it is for my retirement.. trust is hard especially wen you risk.. but in the end it will be worth it..

It is unfortunate that if ever somebody comes to us and offer life insurance, we feel that we are about to be "robbed" by the agent. It's only here in the Philippines that most people avoid insurance, in other countries, it is considered a must. The difference? We are not aware of its importance, its value and its function.

For a start, life insurance becomes even more important if one is a breadwinner. Because, if he dies, the family he leaves behind must continue to live, bills will continue to come in, the kids should continue go to school. The function of life insurance is to temporarily finance all these needs immediately after the death of the breadwinner. Otherwise, the family left behind, mostly unprepared for the untimely demise, will fall into financial turmoil and into debthood.

In other words, life insurance protects the people that are financially dependent on you. If your parents, spouse, children or other loved ones would face financial hardship if you died, life insurance should be top on your list. Think about how much you earn each year (and the number of years you plan to remain employed) and purchase a policy that will replace that income in the event of your untimely demise.

Death comes like a thief in the night..we should all be prepared when that time comes...
Gamit jus kaayo ang insurance kay wa jud ta kahibaw kung when death take its total claim on us..

Life insurance is a very overlooked and misunderstood concept. Many people think that life insurance is just a waste or money or additional bills to pay. Life insurance is something that everybody can avail when it is not yet needed but one can no longer avail when the need is already there.

Life insurance serves a very simple purpose, to provide protection both for the insured and the beneficiaries (those who are dependent on the insured's income). It provides protection for these three certainties in life (only one will happen):

Dying too soon - Life insurance will provide financial assistance to those who are left behind by the breadwinner. Nothing is more painful than losing a loved one and carrying a very heavy burden financially in supporting those who are left behind.

Living too long - Most people want a long life but how can you enjoy if you don't have money? Life insurance have evolved and have included savings portions in it making the insured enjoy the plan he got in case he outlives the plan. People who outlive their plans turn their life insurance plans to retirement plans.

Getting disabled - Disabilities normally lead to lack of work which leads to lack of income. Life insurance policies provide financial support to the insured just in case he gets either temporarily or permanently disabled.

For a mere P44 a day or around P16T a year, you can already get a life insurance coverage of around P1.5M. Quite a bargain so to speak. Which would you prefer, having P16T in hand or be assured of at least P1.5M coverage for you life and health?

This complaint is very, very common.

Insurance agents are very, very aggressive in pushing their expensive products onto unsuspecting customers. For one, their companies need fresh money to pay for insurance claims that are in the pipeline, not to mention the salaries of their managers, secretaries, security guards and what-nots, their electric bills, taxes, etc. I hate to say this but It actually operates almost like a Ponzi scheme. It needs new fools to pay the old fools. One must be very careful from whom they're buying the insurance product. Never forget the lessons from the past like the Pacific Plans fiasco.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY WHOLE LIFE INSURANCE! These are invented products that have these so-called "investment components" in them. Their ad would sound like "Grow your money by 250%!!"....pero after 25 years diay!!! The returns you're getting isn't big enough to justify locking your money for 25 years. After 25 years, we know what usually happens: They declare bankruptcy. If you want to invest money for good returns, do it the traditional way: buy stocks, bonds, CDs, money market funds, and mutual funds.

The purpose of buying a life insurance is to buy a peace of mind. That's it. Buy the plain vanilla term life insurance from a reputable institution and forget about the other stuffs.
