i think you better get a Pentium D 915 (2.8G, 4mb cache, 65nm, dual core), i think less that 1K difference
only get a dedicated Video card if you're into games. otherwise the integrated video will suffice even with video editing.
intel 945 chipset already support DX9 so its windows vista ready.

ok na na bro...& you could use your remaining cash for CD/DVD writer...or a monitor...or if nahan jud ka videocard, pwede pa. but kulang na jud if you wanna get pa an LCD.

@jay_burn, unsa man imu i-upgrade later? if you want to upgrade your system by next few months or so, mas maayo kanang mga bag.o nga processors and motherboards imu palitun.. but constrained man ta sa budget nimo.. if adding up some components lang, like HDD, Memory or DVD Writer, ok na man na ang specs nimo..

go for athlon 3600 x2, k9ngm MSI mobo, 1gig ram. 160 gig sata HD.
i think you would still have enough cash to buy a pc-i express x16 video card.
this is just a thought though. suggestion rani.

Aw, mao na sad lagi ni, moabot na sad ni kung asa mas nindot, Pentium D or Athlon X2, tsk tsk. Bitaw, ok ra bisan asa, Pentium D 945 ako gamit karon, wa man koy reklamo sa iya performance, hehehe!
