If I were on your shoes ako e stretch gamay ang budget let's say around 20k to 25k

Then canvass ug built bike sa Bikecology (Banilad Town Center) or Cycle Logic (Parkmall).

Nindot naman gud kaayo ang mga entry level built bikes karon kung imo e compare before.

Ayaw lang jud pagdali ug palit sa imo bike without further canvass and research para way mahay.

ok na imu budget sir for starters, basta ayaw lang jud ug palit ug any item or part na dili nimu ma research before hand ky basin mag mahay unya ka. one thing I would suggest is you buy a decent and correct frame ky mao jud na foundation sa bike. then a good groupset. check out to baligya ni fracture ky barato to iya mga parts compared sa uban shop. let your friends know ky basin naa pud sila parts worth buying. dont take any part at face value. check for cracks and hidden damages. one crucial thing I would suggest is try not to buy group sets by piece, for example cranks and chains and cogs because they have a tendency to not work properly. once man gud used and kani na mga parts, ang performance ana ky mag depende sa previous user and most likely dili mo takdo ang imu chain sa imu cogs and cranks tungod y either stretched na or bent na ang links.

once you get your bike up and running, ayaw i.shock imu body by going into an intense riding regime right away ky ma frustrate lang unya ka. do a long but slow ride at least a day or two days apart to give your body time to rest in between. mas effective na siya compared sa mo deretso ka ug every day long runs unya dili ka abot ug month kay ma over exerted imu lawas. after a month of every other day riding or two days apart between rides, kana pwede naka mo level up sa distance and intensity. try out Busay after a month or so, and dont be afraid to walk when you feel like you cant do it anymore. this is all based from my experience. I was about 97kgs two months ago and now ky about 87kgs na ko. my first attempt at Busay until Willy's store, it took me an hour with three 3-minute stops and about 1.5 liters of water.

mao ni ako routine na every two days or every other day ang ride. mind you, im happy with how I can bike now because I can feel the progress. last Tuesday, it took me and some friends 45 minutes to get to Danao from Lapu2x. Just this morning, I tried out a single track trail sa Lawaan, Talisay. It was grueling but so much fun.

hopefully next Monday ky Carmen amo target. try to find biking buddies na pareho nimu ug level para dli ka ma frustrate ug para pud dili ka ma pugos sa imu pace which happens kung mas kusgan ang imu kauban.

taga asa ka sir? naa diay ko nakit.an nga built bikes na medyo decent na ang parts dinhi sa may Mandaue and the price is sakto jud kaayo sa imu range. since 5'"7 imu height, most likely dili kaayo lisod mangita ug frame size para nimu since most bikes and frames being sold are aimed to fit your height. ako ky 5'11" so medyo lisod2x mangita ug barato nga frame na either 18 or 19.

kung ganahan ka mo tan.aw ato mga units sa Mandaue, i.PM nako imu number para pwede tika ma text ug ma guide adto na store. naa pud mga Japan surplus na alloy MTB na i think fit nimu and swak kaayo sa imu budget.

another option is you buy by parts until ma complete nimu imu bike na imu gusto. medyo dili dayun maka dagan pero at least dil ika mag sige ug upgrade which makes it more expensive. by the way, ako mismo ky nag save pa pud para sa ako second bike since dili pa in ani ka nindot ug parts ako bike karon. although na downhill na nako ni sa Kan-irag ug didto sa Talisay pero i want a frame na sakto jud para nako since medyo gamay ni ako frame karon para nako.

The Watcher - nice advise boss, tan aw nko dugay2x najud ka biker dah.
Sakto the best place to start is busay jud. I remember when
I was still at high school(15 years ago) kami jud sa ako papa
cge bike diha sa busay. At first murag 3-5x jud stop, granny to the
max but di jud madala. It's true nga once ma anad naka
magpa ngita naka mas challenging na rota.

Need pud ko advise nimo bro, kini ako bike murag vintage napud ba
but medyo nice pud dapat. I got this 1996 GT Avalance w/ Deore LX-XT nga dapat.
Nahan ko mag ilis lang unta disc break pero wala
    man caliper akong frame.
Unsa maayo buhaton ani boss, or maybe mag buy nalang ko og lain?
Sayangan pud ko aning bike-a kay OK pa baya og barug.

Suya kaayo ko sa Jamis bikes og KHS full suspension didto sa YKK
kay discounted ila mga older models, kwarta ray wala.

dugay nako tig bike pero nag hiatus ko for a very long time and karon pa ko ni balik bike mga 2 months or so siguro nga medyo consistent na.

regarding sa imu question about upgrading to disc brakes. did you mean caliper mounts sa frame? wala problem kung walay mounts since naa man clamp on adapters para sa imu disc calipers. but you would have to change your hubs to accommodate the rotor. ok na kaayo na Deore LX XT na components, i bet maayo pa kaayo na ug performance.

regarding Jamis and KHS bikes, daghan kaayo barato sa Manila na brandnew around 15k lang. decent na pud ug components.

Sir Lowen, musta na imu pag canvas sa imu bike?
