@rcruman: so the bible can sometimes be taken literally...? and you're an authority on what passage in the bible to take literally and what passage to take spiritually? or bout2x ra na nimo to suit your personal belief as well as your defense?
There are literal and spiritual writings in the bible.
Its not an authority that makes us to decide, it will be known if you turn back to the reproof of God (proverbs 1:23).
Like this: Honor/Respect your father and mother (is this literal or spiritual?)
Do unto others what you want others do unto you (is this literal or spiritual?)
This is my blood and body, drink it and take it (is this literal or spiritual?)

besides, the passage that u got from the bible seems to point to a conclusion that jesus transcended the flesh when he ascended... meaning it was a spiritual ascension... meaning he left his physical body to rot like everybody else...
Its not spiritual ascension that left his physical body, its clear in the verse that the physical body transformed into glorified body as what happened in 1 Corinthians 15:50-54.
Don't arrived on your conclusion bro, instead understand what the bible says.
The notion of spirits separate from the body and ascended to heaven is man's interpretation.
God can transform our corruptable body to uncorruptable body for us to ascend to heaven.

how could it be that Mary's remains were in the same place with Jesus' when she died in Turkey. There was a tradition among them not to move remains from one grave to another dba? and she was buried in turkey, i thought the pope visited that place to pay respect when he visited the country.

and by the way, apologist... look it up. there were a bunch of christian apologist here before... ionno what happened to 'em. i'm pretty sure they're still around... i suggest you talk to them to get your facts straightened out.

A trace/story/journals of Mary that was buried in Turkey but archeologists could not find anything in these places (churches of asia) although they found some items that was of Mary's garments. If someone can add more to this because I vaguely remember it. She traveled to greece, syria, turkey and some place I can't remember...

Yes, it should not be interpreted but to be understand and accepted.
It will be a gift from God to know His words. read Proverbs 1:23.
Nobody can easily know it if not by the will of God, God will be the one to give you understanding.

Its not the Bible thatpoints to a conclusion that Jesus transcended the flesh when he ascended.
The Bible says that, it transformed from corruptable to uncorruptable (Glorified body).
So there should be no remains because it transformed.

Yes, it should not be interpreted but to be understand and accepted.
... not to derail the thread, but, I'm just trying to decipher this...
Question: How would you understand what you are reading if you don't interpret?
Example, if a russian is talking to me with his language, how would I understand him if I don't find an interpreter?
If the bible wasn't written in english and was just in original language - may it be hebrew, greek, latin or whatever... how would anyone understand the whole thing if no one interprets the book?
