yes, even though i'm not that religious and i have a few objections to some practices, i do believe there is a higher being called god. i still visit the church when i have time. it feels great that you have someone up there whom you can reconnect and share your thoughts and feelings. someone whom you can never hide anything.

most people understand the term "agnostic" as a middle ground between theism and atheism. when in reality, there can be no middle ground. people decide whether they're a theist or an atheist. this may sound like a surprising claim at first. but i'd like to stress a point that agnosticism is a concept that holds the question of the existence of god open, pending the arrival of more evidence. agnostics lack a belief in god without actively denying god's existence. as for me, the existence or non-existence of a god is irrelevant. i neither affirm nor deny his existence.

i guess i was being superfluous to touch the matter of morality when the question was about believing in a god or not. then again, i saw the question kinda hanging. what is one's belief for? is it not to have a guide? a moral code? i dunno how you guys define morality but for me, i put as conformity to ideals of right human conduct without the complexities.

if people don't wanna touch morality, the question would have been as firewater mentioned "is there a god?"

therefore, giver_bert, to answer your query about morality, i'd like to quote one of my favorite novelists Ayn Rand, "Man's reason is fully competent to know the facts of reality. Reason, the conceptual faculty, is the faculty that identifies and integrates the material provided by man's senses. Reason is man's only means of acquiring knowledge."

i do believe in a Supreme Being. i have yet to know him/her better, though. one's belief is not for anything other than acknowledging that no matter how far we go in terms of knowledge, we know so very little still. it is setting ourselves on our knees is all. at least that's what i think.
