True. Mura man na ug nahan ka musulti ug word then dili gyud nimo masulti.

Some people namugna na nga naay gyuy ing-ana from the start. Mine started when my Mom left me kay mutrabaho siya sa gawas. Dako kaayo siya'g impact sa akong kinabuhi then maybe I got traumatized? How I wish I don't have this disorder.

Sa una ni-order ko ug rice sa restaurant and the conversation went something like this:
    Code:
Waiter : Pila ka rice imo sir?
Me : D-d-uha duha ka rice.
Waiter : Bale upat ka rice sir?
Me : D-d-uha duha lang ka rice.
Waiter : Huh? Duha-duha so duha ka double rice?
    Me : Usa ka d-d-d-ouble.
    Waiter : Ah, ok. Salamat!

Naa ko nabasa nga research* nga pwede ra jud diay ma lessen ang stuttering but it will take years and years of therapy. The theory is that stuttering is a developmental disorder, in which some people are genetically predisposed. We "learned" to stutter as we grew up.

i.e., Some developed their language skills faster, but they weren't able to catch up with their ability to speak (language processing vs. motor skills). An analogy is we learned to run before we were able to walk.

Thus, in order to lessen stuttering, we need to train our muscle memory to speak correctly. Back to kindergarten school jud. Kung tigolang na ta kay dili na worth sa effort. But if you have dedication like Demosthenes, you can overcome stuttering... after 10-20 years hehehe...
