Default Re: Ngano kasagaran sa mga maya o bayot gusto man gyud og perfect grammar/english?

at some point, I want to agree and rationalize the cause for such, but taking a step back and recalled my experiences with people whom I consider perfectionists in the English language--with whom were mostly men, I see no trace of them being 'Maya's'. This is but a very limited observation and to stereotype men who are good at it is just not fair!

For all that matters, if women were screaming equal opportunities in the field of men, i see no reason to deprive men to be good at a skill oftentimes attributed to women.

In the discussion of "english fluency," gays are not the only ones who are fluent in english. This highly depends on the persons' educational background (either formal or informal studies), or it comes from their upbringing. Some have a natural gift when it comes to the english language, ang uban sad bisag lat-an pa ang dila or tudloan balik murag nga pina grade one di gyud mada! So I would disagree that most people who are good at writing and speaking in english are gay....One keen observation nga dapat nimo buhaton TS is this......

A person can speak American english but fails on his grammar, sentence construction, etc etc etc.... But since nindot man kaayo paminawon kay mura man ug foreigner, we barely notice the errors.

Ka daghan bayot ga lakaw lakaw dah nga maminaw lang ka di gyud magka dimao ang english. That's why a good number of them would speak in their native gay tongue (bali-bali ang show!). Naa sad maayo, pero naa sad daghan nga takilid gyud mag ininglis. Even some of the gays working in call centers think they are that fluent, but magka tawa nalang ka maminaw.... mo sakay ug jeep mag iningles di pa gyud mao! (sample scenario lang ha....)

One situation sad ha....I had an appointment with a gay guy who is in the creative industry when we started talking...pak! tuara! dili carry ni mama ang english bisag masteral graduate siya. So I had to use my gay-dictionary para magka sinabtanay mi.

so to summarize my understanding and observation....

Good in written english - no specific gender is a majority
Poor in written english - no specific gender is a majority
Good in verbal english - no specific gender is a majority
Poor in verbal english - no specific gender is a majority

And a final note.....there are also Americans who are lousy with english...kita pa kaha nga non native speakers?
