Because, sometimes God is on leave, and no one is in control...and there is only One God!

hahaha.. i like how master springy punched it.
But @Mat , sir IMO, it's not statistics when it comes to prayers. One should pray in accordance to GOD's will. In James 5:16 it is said "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective", makita nato ani nga passage sa Bibliya nga may gi describe diha nga "righteous man". I'm talking about specific prayers (mga personal nga hangyo nato didto sa Labaw)) ani nga point. Now about general prayers like asking GOD for world peace, kai murag mao ni ang nagpahipi nga question to most as to why soooo much evil abounds in our time nya daw walai gibuhat ang Diyos, gani nahimo ni syang rason for some to think and say and believe nga ahhh walay GOD. GOD has a plan on how to have world peace, it's written in the book of Revelation. All that one has to do is know GOD's plan and when one knows what GOD's plan for world peace is then it will be realized that all of this evil - famine in some parts of the world, inequality, chaos, criminality, wars, genocide, etc., GOD allows to run its course because in due time, in GOD's plan, there is a finality of everything. So when we pray "Almighty Father please send world peace bla bla.." and when we open our eyes and look globally it's not happening GOD is answering us nga "NO! I have a masterplan on world peace and it will not come like what most imagines or how most would like it to come". GOD has a plan and GOD has a will for everything.

What we ought to pray instead for ourselves is peace of mind, having peace in ourselves amidst chaos and evil. "Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7). Akong gi tuyo ug bolden ang last kai when we live in Christ Jesus somehow we will come to know about righteousness and GOD's will and when one is righteous in GOD's sight the prayers of that person is powerful and effective sa personal nga level not on general like asking for world peace kai planado naman na xa. See, very nice.

I come to think of it.. Does GOD take a vacation? Vacation = a specific trip or journey, usually for the purpose of recreation or tourism. Moingon ta, mi bakasyon ko sa Palawan or Boracay, or mi bakasyon ko sa provinsya. Being somewhere at a specific time so that you cannot be at two places at the same time. But GOD is in all places at the same time. Omnipresence. IMO, on a humorous note and risk on having this statement being ridiculed (pero inyo na na), I think GOD can't do a vacation (earthly sense) because HE's everywhere. Where will HE go? HE's everywhere. Di ba? hehehe

actually, prayer really works! and it is positive when the sincerity of our hearts is inline with god's will sa atong lives at the right timing. I've noticed that it will be granted if your desire also is for the good of others,,
