    i don't know if i understood you completely but from an existentialist's point-of-view, it is unfortunate for someone to say that having no one is the 'most unfortunate' thing in the world. we alone could give meaning to ourselves and define who we are... not our friends whom you refer to as back-up plans if things go haywire.

    well, as for me, not facing the consequences of your feelings and actions is the most pathetic thing in the world. and being a coward, is unfortunately, the saddest thing to be.
