1. 'Pathetic Company' - a company employing more than 25k in the Philippines, with more than 2k in Cebu (in a matter of 5 years). How great this 'pathetic company' enabling more than 25k people to bring food to their families. And this pathetic company kay maayo tingali kaayo mangilad kay continuously growing man. Yes, there is an attrition, but way lower than other companies. How pathetic, indeed.
2. "Friends who know ACN inside and out" - i should meet them. Para tingali ma-advise-san pud ko nila. Honestly, i am thinking of resigning, but i am looking for a company way better than ACN. I am having a hard time, really. By the way, are your friends still with ACN? Or how many years were they employed under ACN? That would be an interesting fact to know.
3. "Tawo-tawo sa higher-ups" - this really depends on how you deal with them. For sure, there are 'bossings' nga naa gyuy attitude. But timing-timing ra pud. In ACN, you are empowered to let them know you don't like their style of leadership. Believe me, i have a senior manager who still asks if his idea is good to be relayed to the team. And you can still actually tell him 'No, it's not.' Of course, if a person's role (not necessarily the level) is higher than you, then dapat naa gyuy level of authority. Too much liberty and democracy is bad for a team.
4. Realization - lately, murag dili na kaayo ko comfortable ani nga company kay feeling nako left behind na kaayo ko sa akong batch in terms of promotion. I hope ma realize na gyud nako nga I need to go out for my own sake. But thinking of the good things that happened to me on my first 3 years, the opportunity to work with lain-lain nga races, sa lain-laing place, i want to do that again. If you only know how much i rant about this and that in this company, i guess mo-sympathize ka sa akoa. But here i am still, unable to get out because as i have said, medyo lisod ipangaita company nga mulabaw pa sa accenture (based on my PERSONAL preference).
5. For Fresh Grads - i am encouraging you to actually try to build your career in Accenture. Sorry bro, kontrahon nako imo post. I know what Accenture can offer for those fresh grads. If you are not really seeing yourself growing your career in Accenture, then, try to make use of the trainings nalang upon your entry. Maka-assure ko sa mga fresh grads that they will learn a lot (especially if they are on Solutions).
Sir John Mclain, if that blog and your friends ra imo reference, i suggest you search for more. Would 94 out of the 100 Forbes companies trust ACN if walay klaro? Would 3/4 of the Fortune 500 companies still get Accenture to help their business grow if the company is pathetic?
Every company kay naa man gyud negative side. It's really up to the employee to change it either by trigerring the change by himself in the company, or trying to look for a new one which suites his taste.
