@ Ekoydakoykoy: I heard positive reviews about BP International. If I'm not mistaken, that hotel is highly recommended by traveling family members because of the room size.
@ Cirose: We had a much larger budget when we stayed at a hotel (2010), but on our last trip (2011) we stayed at the guesthouse, and more or less, this was how much we spent:
Flight and Fees = P5,670
- R/T airfare on Cebu Pacific: P3,500
- travel tax: P1,620
- terminal fee: P550
Entertainment = 975 HKD = P5,850
- Octopus card: 150 HKD
- Disney entrance: 320 HKD (discounted price from guesthouse. regular price is 350 HKD)
- Disney food coupon: 128 HKD (bought at the entrance gate. lunch + dinner + your choice of beverage or snack item)
- Ocean Park entrance: 220 HKD (discounted price from guesthouse. regular price is 250 HKD... don't know if 280 HKD na karon)
- Peak Tram + Madame Tussaud's (wax museum) combo tickets: 190 HKD
- Ngong Ping R/T cable car ride: 115 HKD (cheapest then)
Board and Lodging = 1,700 HKD = P10,200
- Guesthouse: 500 HKD/night x 3 nights = 1,500 HKD (divided by 3 of us in a triple room) = 500 HKD
- Food: 300 to 1000 HKD/day x 4 days = 1,200 HKD to 4,000 HKD
(this really depends on where, what and how much you eat. If you stick to fast food chains like McDo, KFC, Burger King... barato ra sad ilang meals... somewhere around 15 to 25 HKD per set... okay sad ang Yoshinoya and dagko kaayo ang servings.... bowl starts at 28 HKD if I remember correctly. naa juy super barato pa if you try local food... ka-notice mi ug murag squidballs at 7-11 but did not try them out... tag 10 HKD ra to, hehehe... meat sandwich at 7.50 to 8 HKD.... bottled water at 4 to 10 HKD... canned drinks at 20 to 25 HKD each...)
Hope this helps. We spent most of our pocket money on entertainment and food. The night market was okay. Lingaw ang lights. Sadya. Di lang kaayo nice ang quality sa stuff.
