Religion has nothing to do with it. This is a democratic country and the rights that we are aiming for are Constitutional rights. People are still hung up on marriage as if its the "property" of the church. IT IS NOT. Marriage is a civil Union recognized by the state, regardless if it is acknowledged by whatever religion or not.

i believe there are no legislations so far that discriminates against gays... You have constitutional rights, just like all other people. What more do you want? You want to have MORE RIGHTS? I think you want acceptance from society, not rights. If it is acceptance, then the government cannot help you without giving you special privileges and dangerously making a clear division of two classes of citizens, straight and gays.

Marriage is a personal affair, it is variable in the way it is observed depending on the different values, beliefs, and faith of the people involved.

Take it from someone who is actually gay, yes there are. And again you misunderstand, we are not seeking special rights, we are asking for EQUAL rights, the right to be able to marry the "PERSON" of our choosing no matter which gender they may be.
