i have tried ECS before. just last year i had ECS NForce4-A939.
performance is very good. wala man nagkaproblem ang Half-Life 2 on medium settings.
wala ko kasuway og high settings kay dili kaya sa ako vcard na geForce 6500.
but then again it is up to your choice.

Got one same chipset but s754 nga lng pre, paired with 6600,,,plus lastest drivers,, overlocks well, 265mhz fsb w/ my sempron3100+, pwede pang birahan upto 275fsb and up but stay put lng sako kay generic ra akong psu,,,hahaha mag ugdaw unya ni.
running 9 months alive and still planting bombs in CS:Source,,,hehehehe

ako mobo kay ECS RS400-A, with intel Pentium 4 3.0ghz running @ 3.4ghz, Leadtek 7600gs vcard, 1gb memory.
I played elderscrol Oblivion, Gothic 3, medieval 2 at maximum resolution, pero wala dyud ko ka expereince nga ni hang or any problems encountered. So for me ok ra kaayo ang ECS mobo.

so far ok au aku ecs 945 gm3. 1k+ lower than an asus or an intel bord with the same chipset but it has cool accessories like firewire.
