Maybe decriminalization will be more appropriate , not legalization .

It is apparently clear that UNAIDS can no longer support some programs that fund HIV treatment and such. They are trying another way to reduce if not remove totally the HIV epidemic once and for all. IMO the aid they have given to 3rd world countries has been used as a political tool in order to gain access to that 3rd world nations resources. Of course no one will say this as this is not what can be seen, but try reading between the lines and you will know that HIV funding for medicines is not 'free' at all.

Besides that, they seem to think that this can provide a longterm solution of the world economy. You can say that prostitution, drugs, arms smuggling or other forms of underground business has been part of the underground economy. If you take that into contrast the world economy right now is valued at around 60 to 70 Trillion US dollars, but that only includes the legitimate economy that is taxed and audited by government. The underground economy meanwhile may be a lot more compared to all that but it is not taxed and audited so the government does not have control over it.

The trade of with this kind of deal it won't be part of the underground economy anymore, maybe this will provide a little stimulus to our already weak economy. What's worse is what if some other forms of underground economic activities such as drugs trafficking, arms smuggling, and what not become legalized and regulated?

The government is almost bankrupt, and it needs funds, quick.

Ang naka pait man gud ang uban s3xual entrepreneurs and patrons willing lang pud mo perform ug unsafe s3xual activities . Tungod sa ka mahal sa health-care sa Pinas , wala jud intawn pa check-up2x ang mga s3xual entrepreneurs . Ang mga first timer nga patrons paslak dayon without the knowledge about sa iyang hired partner's medical background ug wala pud siya gamit ug condom . Sa mga laki , bati jud kung naay condom maski ultra-thin pa , pero mao na maka prevent sa mga STDs . Pero naa juy mga laki nga o10 ang gamiton sa iyahang pangisip instead sa iyang utok .

Kung ang mga taw - both parties - magpakabana about sa risk of engaging into unsafe s3xual activities , ma lessen if not ma prevented jud ning mga HIV , STI , and etc .
