Kids from my time grew up watching "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company" Most of you probably grew up with Batibot, or worse, "tagalized" Anime. There lies your problem.

Actually kids my time while growing up educated thru television watched FLYING HOUSE and SUPERBOOK and I know that it is of the same era hehehe or is SESAME STREET older bai ?

OT: FLYING HOUSE and SUPERBOOK were old cartoons pero kaabot pa ko ani (early 1990's) and i think they were re-runs. SESAME STREET is waaaaaayyy older wala pako nataw. wahaha

Actually the ones you probably saw are indeed RERUNS because the ones I am talking about are the morning shows of the early 80's . Thats beyond the point though but linking it to the topic ... those 2 cartoons I mentioned has MORAL STORIES and GENERAL IDEAS catered for the young minds , mas dako siya ug advantage kumpara sa mga " Pokemon " , " YU GI OH " , " Naruto " etc .

i agree. mga shows nga panan-awn sa mga pinoy karon coz more on SHOWBIZ and less and less on education.

Call me crazy, but I think hot weather does tend to make people lazy. Without self-motivation folks live simple uncomplicated lives and don't bother to exercise their brains. Unfortunately this slacker behavior is viewed as acceptable in many places and of course kids grow up with little beyond an expectation to eat.
