the answer is #2. though the girl is not really working for the church, she was tasked to collect the monthly "parish support" in our area. my mom know the person.
daghan na news about the parish priest na gi-negosyo ang ostsa sa simbahan. naa bitaw cya gi-announce, "ayaw na mo sige ug hatod nako ug camote kay gadaot akong tiyan ana, ostsa na lang kay kinahanglan na sa atong church", that's the exact words and that's not heresay kay sa misa man to gi-announce. announced pud ang increased sa "parish support" from P60/year to P120/year/per household. and this is not a small municipality. but the fact is, ibaligya nya ang ostsa sa mga chapels in the area, or magpabayad sya sa gamiton na ostsa pag mag-misa cya sa lain na chapel or barrio. when these were donated ra man. daghan na kahibalo ana. nahuli na nga ko sa news.
lisod hilabtan kay church man gud. did try to email some church officials, wala pa man reply. ill email my friend sa media if failed ang 1st step.

Dude have you ever wonder how the churches being built in central areaswhere the lot are more expensive?.. its because of the money they get from donations and what ever charges they charges you.. Religion is good business.. Look at how the Pope yield his Golden Staff. And look how Vatican independently stood up as a country itself. its all about profit.
Why not ask your priest? Ngano kami man imo pangutan-on?

lisod oi
you cannot ask them about transparency on financial matters esp ila mga collection nga kwarta
Pero ask them lang about God matters para ma divert imo attention from asking too many questions about the above
