hahahhaha...now you believe nga natubag sa mga theists pero imo lang gipakapinan ug binuang! how about sa inyo atheists, unsa may inyong explaination, dili pa matubag kay sige pag research? mahurot nalang tanang resources sa kalibutan dili gihapon enough to discover the whole creation.
well, if you really look at the meaning of faith in the dictionary, It doesn't really connect to proof but rather the assumption of proof. It's called a blind trust... same as when gamblers bet on something uncertainly. The same as the assumption of proof of demi gods and mythological gods etc....
regarding to prophecies fulfilled. Even if bibles don't exist and even if you don't pray things happens. If it happens like the bible says, then that's called coincidence.
And the creation of a universe can also be related to probably the big bang, the evolution of the universe. (But Atheist don't claim that it's certain, but rather a theory unlike the theist to their bibles.)
Too bad, if all people are too dependent on faith alone, we would still be at the medieval age right now. Coz people rather accept things blindly and never seek the logical truth.
You can actually believe in a probability of something, but why does people be so fanatic about it? it's just a probability anyways..
Long story short, It's a matter of choice, I just don't understand why some theist can't think logically.![]()

Because we don't make false assumptions and we don't have an imaginary friend to depend on. We atheists are not claiming that we have answers to everything. But it doesn't mean whenever we face unexplained phenomena it has something to do with Zeus, Ereskigal, or Jehovah.. LOL!
question: nganong atheist man ka??
manghinaot ko, nga unta, sa umaabot nga panahon, a conversation between a believer and a non-believer woulld be something like this...
Atheist: Ako bai, dili ko mutuo'g ginoo. Ikaw bai, tuo ka ana?
Theist: Oo bai, tuo ko nga walay pagduha-duha.
Atheist: Mao ba bai? Tara tan-aw na ta'g sine.
Theist: Unsa man nga salida atong tan-awon?
Atheist: Pwede The Dark Knight Rises na lang siguro.
Theist: Nindot ra ba kuno na. Sige, kana na lang!
nakaingon siguro mo nga, walay klarong istoryaha ug unsay konek sa topic? hehe.
but my point is, can't we have opposing ideas but still be friends, or get along well at least? nga walay insultohay, dili mag-maliit ug tawo, walay bastosay, etc.
i admit, nga before, medyo active ko aning debate2x sa existence/non-existence of God, and i was most of the time use sarcasm in the discussions. but then i realized, it wasn't all worth it.
mao ra, thanks.![]()
@softworker
ok rna thiest well forgive us for they dont know what theyre doing , anyhow ... atleast we should practice to attack the argument , not the person.... wla namn cgurong personalan..
put it this way ... Disease , bubunic plague .....mahorot man ug sa dili atong resource , we should research sa virus ... or kita ang mahurot ug kamatay ....Quote Originally Posted by heliopause View Post

... what can an albularyo do with such disease other than candles smoke .. and u expect to stay ur belief on something that was written 2,000 yrs ago...
blind faith is just another side of faith, one of which are the extremist, people killing people in the name of religion..
Christian faith teaches about Love, forgiveness and redemption...you may call it blind but it's goodness is undeniable..
i'm not talking about Christian religion 'cause it's ran by people who may get influinced with self interest and the faith becomes "ideal" and "blind" so we call it.
since we are questioning the bible's legitimacy?are you calling a certain happening perdicted a thousand years before a coincidence?the i'm not talking about just one prophicies..you may wanna research a bit about the bible, 'cause it doesnt only contain "fairy tales" as some would say, but it is a book of History..srolls were written about Jesus and His crucifixion, hundreds and thousands of years before He was even born.can we call it a coincidence?by definition coincidence is something random..
i understand that we question God because of things we don't understand but to question His existence because we do not fully understand? that's the very downfall of our kind...that's why protests happens, rebellions happen every now and then 'cause if do not understand how our government works, we end up marching againsts the constitution...
and about theists being sure of what they believe, that's the effect of faith..suicide bombers are pretty sure of what they were doing...i think the question is, what is the right faith?instead qouting faith being illogical. however faith is really illogical, 'cause there are things in this world that you would just have to take it to faith, one example is marrying someone, yes you've examine your spouse to be...you 've known each other for quite some time, but how sure are you that that person would stay as he is,as faithful as he is now when trouble comes, actuall you won't..'cause you're just gonna have to take it to faith..that's why it's called the mystery of faith...
i agree with you when you said that man should not rely on faith alone...and it is also in the bible
in James 2:17 which states that faith without action is a dead faith.
most of the things you do are in the bible, when you forgive even if the person is not worth forgiving
you love the unlovable, you being compassionate to the least of your brethren...
every good and selfless thing you do is written on the bible we so love to question, and these teachings were written
long before people learned morality...and guess where most of our civil laws about human rights were based from...from the bible.faith + action is inseperable.
and about the universe? no one has ever fathom how big it is..that's why we came up with the term the "known universe"..
point is, if we do not understand it's fullness yet...why conclude?question yes, that natural but conclude that there is no God?
6 day creation may not be necessarily the 6 day that we know..'cause after all human is way too far from being equal with God..
and with God nothing is impossible...so if is 6 days literally? then it must be 6 days really.
Big bang? yeah i think it was a pretty big bang when God created the universe...
and a big thanks to Him otherwise we wouldn't be here right now..
there are Christian fanatics, religious fanatics yes, just as much as fanatics in disproving God.
please do not be confused between being fanatic and sharing.
and yes you're right, i agree a 100% that whatever we believed in, the choice is ours...
and i want to let you know that i have full respect to whatever your beliefs are
but from the bottom of my heartplease don't close your mind and heart about Jesus..
