hahaha!!tricky! faith doesnt require proofs 'cause faith is the proof of things unseen...
if you would want to see God first, before you believe in Him...i think we can't call it faith at all..
and you have your entire lifetime of weighing things whether He does or Does exist...
we have the bible we often question and doubt.despite of it's prophicies being fulfilled..
you have the universe,creation, the people who loves you, everyting good in you...the things we call "blessing in disguise"

The problem with the 6-day creation starts when people interpret it literally which in my opinion undermines the main purpose of the Bible which is to save mankind and NOT AS A SCIENCE TEXTBOOK. When i was a believer like you, I was taught that God's revelation to man is consistent and contingent with time. So you don't expect the people living in Noah's time to understand and comprehend the word "MILLION" years, "EVOLUTION", or even a round earth. Majority of Christian biologists and astrophysicists don't believe in a literal 6-day creation, they prefer the Old Earth Creationism which adheres to the scientifically proven theory of evolution. One of its proponents is Francis Collins, former director of the Human Genome Project, he advocates the perspective that belief in Christianity can be reconciled with acceptance of evolution and science. He had a debate with the famous atheist Richard Dawkins.

The problem with some Atheist is that they will disprove the existence of God and use whats written in the Bible as their argument, Bible that is believed by Christians that contains the word of God.

Its either they are confused or they dont have a solid foundation where their belief will be based upon.
