i just got back from HK and the P700 was my daily driver there since my iphone would be dead batt by mid afternoon. here are some nicies to talk about the unit. when roaming the antenna symbol changes so you know you are not in your home network. a popup will also alert you to that fact. another is it automatically tries to find a local sim thats inserted and uses it as priority when calling or texting. if you dont put any local sim in one of the simslots, it warns you about that fact when you attempt to call out. also a strange thing is i mange to get online at the hk airport wifi when my iphone couldnt connect. hehe. and honestly that was the first time i ended up using facebook/facebook messenger app on the P700 which is to put it mildly looks so much better than using it on the iphone. the bigger screen thumbnails look better and clearer sharp text etc. its just better overall experience.
currency converter always in use with GPS and wifi on all the time, P700 would still last the whole day for me with battery to spare. a far cry scenario for my iphone4s.
offline maps was super handy. but you do loose search function when you are not online so find the places you will be going and pin them ahead (bookmark em) for easier navigation. another thing that would have made this P700 perfect was an inclusion of a compass. sadly it didnt have that.it would have added another level of ease when navigating thru the tight roads in hk but none the less it still works, it still got me to where i needed to go.

i dropped by today at the shop to get a feel of the phone.. and im getting swayed haha between this, the ace plus, ace 2, and lg l7.. would this phone be the bang for the buck? im a heavy user.. so i download lots of apps... i dont quite understand android phones so much because im fairly new to this whole thing.. would you recommend this phone? ive a phone now.. and ive 16gb sd card on it.. but it seems to always eat the phone memory.. so that's something i'd like to correct in getting the new phone.. would you still recommend the lenovo between those phones i mentioned?
