nope, not entirely true... again, depends on the type of the monitor... look for an IPS type if you want wide viewing angles...
by the way, kung monitor lang imo gamit why do you want wide viewing angles? i mean, you'll be in front of your monitor or computer for most of the time while using it so i don't think it will really be cost effective if you get one of those expensive IPS monitors when in fact you're just within the tolerable viewing angles... but that's just me...

i don't want to spend more than what i actually needed...
if this will be used for home entertainment or if you're referring to an LCD/LED TV, now that's another story... wider viewing angles will become very much significant...
