    sir -nile-,

i understand sad bya the point of the haircut, pero behind all the controversy, it's still what it is. a restriction. what if ang tao gusto ug quality education but still wants to be himself? why not have both? sometimes somthing so little as a hairstyle can affect so deeply into other people. (i dont really mean me here. i have short hair and i like it this way ra man. haha) diba we all want to be true to ourselves? and san jose doesn't only teach those values just by haircut ra man. san jose has very great teachers that deliver the message well. i think removing the haircut rule is actually a plus on san jose.

and for tattoos, no comments sir?

^_^ just wanted to debate this out. controversial man gud kaayo. its time sad ba that we dig deep into the subject to see how it really affects the students.

talked to a chairman in USJ-R and a good friend faculty from USC-TC, hell break loose in a few next few years when PNoys K-12 will hit the universities. DepEd and CHED did not sort it out on how will the universities cope up when the time comes when there will be no 1st year enrollees next 2 years. I am just hoping they will be able to find a way to keep the faculty busy in SanJo.

    Any updates?

Well for me, USJR will never be USJR if the policy on haircut will be removed.

Having a "nice" haircut is one way of presenting yourself.

While it is true that hairstyle is not the only basis of being a gentleman per se, I think that it is much better to have a presentable one. When I say presentable, it is on the context of my own preference.

And also, following basic rules of the school will help you to become a law-abiding individual. It is more of a training on how you will follow the authorities.

I think, hairstyle depends on the taste of every individual. Unfortunately or fortunately, USJR wants its students to have a haircut that contradicts your hairstyle. In this sense, you have the option to abide or get out.

I think, students who want to have long hairs are not victims. Victims sound being oppressed. I think USJR doesn't want to oppress or victimized their students just because they are implementing this hairstyle. They have their good reasons to implement it, otherwise, they had already abolished it long long time ago.

    Just my two cents...
I have to agree. This is just one way of carrying out the university's holistic formation core value

This is one of the policies that sets us apart from any other universities in Cebu. Josenians are much more disciplined/formal, in my opinion.
