The new, stricter DELAY OF GAME call is full of BS..
Samoka ani nga rule oi! .. This is intended to "speed up the game" daw! Pero samot man hinuon ka langay ang duwa every time mo pito ang refs! ...
After a basket, bisag i-tapik nimo ang bola padung sa inbounder, you're apparently delaying the game!..
Samot hinuon kadugay if after the basket, none of the offensive players picks up the ball.. I've seen it too many times early in this season..
RULE CHANGE: How about just blow the whistle if a defender taps or throws the ball AWAY from the inbounder? That makes a lot of sense if they really wanna speed up the game..
^^ Kabantay sad ko ana lately. Makasapot usahay ang referee.
Mura'g here's the prime example nga hadlok mapitohan sa referee kay makadelay nya sa game.

Major penalty for FLOPPING, such as ejection or suspension 1-3 games if proven very obvious. it doesn't make sense to give fine to nba players, They can afford it.
FLOPPING is bad image for youths. I personally got this experience when I was watching midget tournament in our neighbourhood. This kid got talent playing hoops, its just he keeps on growling with the refs(spoiled brat indeed).
so i asked him after the game,
Me : Dude why you keep on complaining with refs if your opponents not called in for any fouls against you? and where did u get that acting2 thingy?
He answered : its FLOPPING, mate! learned it from LEBRON and CP3!.
Tua ra!...
^^Flopping is an art man daw..Hehe I-apil nalang pod si Blake Griffin diha..

@StingerRay: Oo kadaghan jud na mahitabo ingon ana.. Good for Kyle O'quinn nga naa sya presence of mind that moment..
But refs hasn't been consistent in calling this especially when the game is in crunch time.. Mavs-Thunder game man siguro to akong nakit-an, gihikap sa taga OKC ang bola, Mavs players & bench begged for a call but the ref didn't blow the whistle, nag lingo2x rang amaw.. If natawgan pa toh, the technical free-throw would've made a difference in the outcome of that game..
Kung mao diay na storyaha, maypa tang-tangon nalang ni nga stupid rule.. Overkill ra kaayo..![]()
I think in essence that the rule itself is quite good not just in the NBA but for all leagues out there too. I believe that after a team made a basket, a player whose team that made the basket shouldn't intentionally toss or touch the ball under any circumstance. I've yet to see players got a called for delaying the game just for an unintentional contact with the ball, most times it's for tossing the ball. Some people may think that it delays the game further because the refs had to call it every other inbound but this rule would make sense once players adapt to this rule. If an offensive player made contact with the ball after a basket because he was on the restricted area, just don't hold and/or toss it.

Before this season, they don't usually call a delay of game on these:
1. If player throws/taps ball AWAY from the inbounder.
2. If player throws ball to the referee.
Kung mao palang unta na specifically ilang gi-crackdown karon nga season, I'd be 100% in support of it.. Pero kanang i-tap lang ang bola out of your way (even for a little bit) coz you wanna sprint down back on defense? A bit excessive.. Agreed though that players will eventually adapt.. But for now, it's just annoying to see refs blasting whistles on every little, irrelevant thing but mum when in crunch time.. If they really wanna go with this new rule, be consistent at least..
