Mutilation for the sake of beautification is haraam. What about earrings? Well they are permitted for women coz earrings aren't permanent (also dyeing hair). Braces to change/fix one's teeth is ok too for the medical benefit.

If a person was to turn to Islam, however, and is covered in tattoos it's not necessary to have them removed coz prior sins will be forgiven. Tattoos don't affect wudu (ablution) since it's under the skin.

Lastly, we really don't need to write God's name on our bodies when it's already written on our hands

    SubhanAllah!

the bible is the same, yesterday, today and will be tomorrow bai..there may be differences on teh inscriptions but the meanings are merely the same..but the interpretation is up to the one who's reading the bible.that's why we are taught to pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance when reading the Holy book

....well, Obviously not all palms are the same. Looking at mine, they're not exactly like those palms but they have the lines that resemble 81 and 18.

Muhammad died at the age of 63 not 62.

haha..got mixed comments here regarding Christians getting inked both negative and positive alike.thanks sa comments guys..
acually i'm not confused about my stand.just wanna hear some comments lang pud.
now for those who think it's not good, i got a follow up question for you guys, which can reach out more to those people who lead a wasted life, people who have tattoos and art lovers, not necessarily unbelieving people but just people who don't feel like they would fit in church 'cause of how they either look or express themselves?and to those people who turned their backs on God because of being discriminated when they go to church 'cause of how they look.
The Christian without tattoo? or the one that has a tattoo?
    where both are practicing Christians..
