    Default Re: The Higgs Boson: Has Theology failed us? No Divine work?

    Now, is the explanation of how the Universe was created based on the Bible's teaching suddenly becomes null and void because of this scientific breakthrough?
    There would be no God, No Big Bang theory, no Universes created by supreme being's body parts and etc...

    Your opinion?

    I really don't care. I'm just afraid that "what if" GOD is truly real, and "what if" there is truly heaven and hell. I don't want to take that chance to believe that there is no GOD. I don't want to exchange a few years here on earth for a eternity of suffering on hell. All of has a "free will" to believe GOD or not anyways and there is really nothing to lose when believing in GOD. So to each his own~

    sakto jud ka bai, you've got nothing to loose..in fact you might have just gained everything...may unta nig kamatay kay naay take 2or retake adn like i posted earlier maybe these discoveries are just the scientific explanation of "God made the universe"
    and ganahan mu nga tanang scientific explanation ug uban pang mga calculation ibutang sa bible? nga sa mga sukod palang daan sa book of numbers ga nosebleed na ko...and that's why its called faith kay di jud kita pa..at least not yet..
    again science/mankind may be able to answer the "how" but only God can give you the answer of question "why"...

    Your opinion?

    Wa ko kasabot ngano ilabot daun ang "Bible's creation of the universe" ani sa discovery sa Higgs Boson. Nagexplain raman unta ni how some particles sa universe get mass.

    and I hope sa TS dili pud literal ang iyang pag sabot sa Bible. Some stories in the Bible are symbolic, some are literal. But if mu insist jud mga tao nga Bible vs Science sa creation sa universe, dili d i pwede nga both are true?

    So God said "let there be light", Bam! He caused the Big Bang . What if ana jud d i iyang gibuhat but the ancient writers couldn't comprehend such thing so kutob sa ilang masabot.

    God created man. Symbolically, we have Adam and Eve from Garden of Eden, perhaps in actuality, God created man through the process of evolution? why not?

    Out of nothing, God created something.
    (far fetched idea) So my simple way of understanding this just like manipulating both sides of the equation, it's possible to make something out of zero: (correct me if I'm wrong, di ko mathematician)
    0 = 0
    1 - 1 = 0
    1 = 1

    Religion gives us meaning, Science gives us an explanation and together, I think ultimately both will lead gihapon to us understanding God better.

    Woww...nakit-an na jud diay ang Higgs Boson. Last time I read up on this, nifail sila.

    I'm a Catholic. I rejoice at every scientific discovery made. It only affirms the greatness of God.

But sad to say tungod aning mga extremists who called themselves Muslim by name only, he was being outcast in Pakistan.

    same scenario would have happened if he is a maranao.. i guess majority pa rin ng mga pakistanis are still inclined to extremism..

    the god of the gaps will always elude scientific scrutiny even in a million years. we are not 100% rational beings therefore superstition has always a place in our society.
