Last December 21, 2012. I went to my province and stayed here for almost 2 months on my grandparents' house for a vacation. I brought my PC w/ me with the follow specs:

i5-2320
asus h61 LE usb3
xfx hd 6870
silverstone 500w
noctua nh d14 w/ the 2 fans
2 generic fans

At first I asked my grandpa if pila ilang gi bayad sa kuriyente every month... I saw their bill and it was only P38.70. Na shock lang ko when I saw their bill. Ang ilang utilities nga nag kailangan electricity didto sa ilaha kay ang duha ka light bulb ra sa CR ug sa kitchen. and taas sa balay totally ngit2x jud.

Naa cable TV didto sa balay pero usually ila rana ipa andar 1,2 hours a day ra jud, igo ra mo tan-aw ug news or whatsoever. When I brought my desktop didto, I usually use the PC for my online classes & downloading games (perteng ka paspas sa internet didto especially kung mag smartbro ka. you'll probably get 6-8mbps speed w/ a 2 digit ping) for an approximate of 18-20 hours per day.

It was January 23, when we got the bill. So from P38.70 nahimo ng 683.75 ang electric bill. I was thinking nga ang bill namo, it would probably reach to a thousand.

I forgot the name of their electrical company there but its not VECO. The location of the house is San Remegio, Hagnaya, North Cebu.

vcard man yata kinakusgan mukaon sir depende sa klase..plus kung dili efficient imuha psu nga gigamit mas kusog pa jud mukaon na ug kuryente,mao bitaw ng gold psu ko bahala buslot bulsa para lang tipid as possible kaon sa kuryente...hehehe

sakto nga video card ang usa sa mga pinaka kusog mo kaon og power sa usa ka CPU pero i don't think significant ang savings (kung naa man) if you switch to a Gold PSU...

PSU efficiency does not necessarily equate to power savings but rather on the efficiency of the conversion process from AC to DC. kung efficient siya, halos wala nakay loss (in a form or heat and/or resistance). mas naga depende jud na siya kung unsay sulod sa imong CPU og ang consumption sa imong PSU is again based sa rating niya... Say 500watts na siya, for sure dili jud ka mo lampas ni ana and again ang actual consumption niya is depende ra pud kung pilay gipangayo sa mga components sa sulod sa CPU mismo... usa ka advantage sa high efficiency PSU is that when it is rated 500 watts, you are almost certain nga mo hatag jud siya ana or even a little more extra... kanang mga bukot2x nga generic, 500 watts kuno pero may lang kaabot 300 watts ang actual output ana guro... all of the 200 watts goes to waste mostly as heat...

aw..hehehe,mali diay akoa pagsabot sa efficiency sir..senxa,abi man gud nko example 100% ang efficiency sa imuha psu..if 300w ang kaon sa imuha components,300w ra jud ang kwaon sa psu from the outlet..if 80% ra efficiency,meaning sa 300w nga kaon sa imuha components mahimo sya 360w more or less ang kaon sa outlet..hehe,not sure naglibog pud ko..lolz

ako gidala ako pc sa province pud during summer vacation. Ang amo bill the previous month kay duol 1000. I brought it mga mid-end na sa month so mga 2 weeks lang. Pagdawat sa amo next bill na shock ako mama. Bill went up to 1,500+.

Phenom II 965 @ 4ghz (1.48v)
HD6870 (oc'ed max voltage )
2 hard drives( 1 caviar green )
6 case fans ( 2 of which kay with leds ), 1 cpu cooler with 2 led fans
dedicated sound card

take note naka enable na gani cool n' quiet so mo downclock ang processor ug same pud sa vc if ga browse lang ko or tan-aw salida.

usage time nako usually mga 8-10 hours ( apil na dha gaming, tan-aw salida lay labot browsing if mugamit ako mama ug igsoon)

atay kaau veco..katong April nga 2-weeks ko walay cpu kay nahalin,while waiting for Ivy release...parehas ra gihapon ang among bill sa mga previous months...way klaro!!!
