While this may be true, I don't think anyone tried to say "Hey, this orange dwarf issue thing is MORE important than climate change!" in this thread.

For the geeky enough, here's how to simulate this event:

    1. Download Orbit/Gravity Simulator here:

    Gravity Simulator

    2. Run the program (it will be installed in C:\Program Files\Gravity Simulator)

    3. Load the "Sedna" scenario file.

    4. What you see in the middle is the Sun, and the green thing orbiting it is Neptune. The thing approaching is a hypothetical Brown Dwarf, that has some objects revolving around it. According to the theory on how the solar system captured Sedna, a Brown Dwarf might have approached the Solar System millions of years ago, and our Sun "stole" one (or maybe more) of its objects, and that object became Sedna.

This simulation can give you a glimpse of what could happen when Gliese 710 enters the solar system.

NOTE: I already introduced Gravity Simulator here in this section of iStorya.net many months ago, while trying to show why the "Nibiru" concept is farfetched.

Well, it will happen based on the data and our current understanding of astrophysics. But still, the timeframe of 1.5 million years should not cause anyone to lose sleep over it. There are other ways our world can end too, such as the standard asteroid/comet impact, gamma ray burst, eventual heat death of the universe, the Milky Way's collision with another galaxy, or heck, even an alien invasion.
