I am sharing you this experience so that every business owners will be aware of the Ganador modus operandi.
A person will approach you at your store to deal a sack of Ganador for only 1200 per sack. Too good to be true price it is but the dealer is some what a very fast talker that our personnel got convinced.
Here's what happened:
After agreeing with the price, our personnel proceeded with the transaction. The dealer came with a taxi waiting for him. The dealer said their delivery truck was waiting from afar since they don't want to transact out loud. The dealer then requested to accompany him to see the product personally and help him carry the sacks of rice. Our personnel went with him together with one our staff as well. Without the money yet, our personnel withdrew money from an ATM for the payment then went on to where they hid their product.
While in transit aboard a taxi cab, the dealer said to our personnel to drop off along the way saying that one person can accommodate. Convinced with how the dealer talks, our personnel dropped off from the taxi leaving just one of our staff aboard with the money. They arrived at Mandaue highway near Shell station, the dealer said to our staff to wait at the gas station and he needs the money so he can get the product which was just along the corner. Our staff handed over the money. The dealer, still in a taxi cab, drove a few meters then got off. Our staff waited at the gas station so with the taxi which was a few meters away. They waited for 30 minutes, then to an hour but no one came back. That's how it all happened. The dealer fled with the money in a matter of an hour.
We accept that we have mishaps on our side and be it a lesson learned. We immediately filed a police report and to our surprise, there was another complaint filed already of the same modus.
I am sharing this so we can be all aware of such modus operandi.
