He points out that the BRIC nation will be bearing the brunt of the effects of inflation and will drastically slow their growth--et cetera. Those are facts. My problem is how he accounts the TIP (Turkey, Indonesia, Philippines) countries, without any depth. I just cannot see how sustained growth can be existent in this country, especially with the setup we have. Now I don't know if he hit got it right with Turkey or Indonesia as I don't know how it works there, pero here?

My answer to your question is, a relatively competitive currency, potentially large workforce, resources--we've always had that, what he didn't put into account is our laws (might have missed it, but I dont think so). So ang major catalyst is the decline sa BRIC growth. Meaning opportunity happens to be knocking on our door. This administration can do good by capitalizing on that opportunity, and by capitalizing I mean call for much needed revisions, really fast, really soon. If we don't igo ra ta ug 3-5 year growth nya stagnate nasad. We need that prolonged decade+ growth badly. Like what Malaysia and Thailand had in the 80s, and what Indonesia had in the 2000s. Ato nasad turn, I hope, if get our act together.

The last time we had the same opportunity was under Ramos, sa Time paman gani to hapit ma-tiger ang Pilipinas. But it fizzled out partly because, well Asia's economy got rocked in 97 and na-apil tah, unfortunately. After that it was all China in the late 90s and so forth. I'd like to add sad that we've gained momentum in 2004-2005 pa, one reason nabutang ta sa N-11 by Goldman Sachs. It slowed down after 07 (or 0.

So before you go on credit grabbing, call her a villain, corrupt or dastardly, si "putot" ang part sa rason nanung naa tay momentum, and its up to Noynoy to stabilize it. Grab the credit when the deed is done, but before then, lihok. Dili mag sige ug bask sa glory, kay di na importante ang mga speculations ug projections sa experts. Karun nga naay indicators nga ang BRIC muhinay, chance na sa Pilipinas nga maka-sustain ug growth. As investors jump ship ana nila, pwede na sila mu-ambak nato, IF we play our cards right. Carpe Diem, Pilipinas.
well the notion that the catalyst of Philippines to become a tiger economy is hanging on the demise of BRIC.. thats unacceptable if not laughable, growth should start from within. Yes its true that the BRIC nations had hard time these days cause of several factors Euro crisis, political instability, labor costs, questionable economic policies etc but still the BRIC nations can adjust/correct problems. Its been echo a lot of times that the BRIC nation will surpass the G7 nations in decades, it just tells you were the monies will be going. Investors maybe be cautious this time around cause of this short term cyclical slowdowns but in long term trend and basing form past performance this BRIC or even BRICS will do well.

as for our country we shouldn't be rellying on other countries misfortunes/failures but rather we work on our problems directly, boost investors confidence backed by sound economic fundamentals. Growth is really expected as we even grow during the global crisis in 2008, the question of us having a tiger economy will still depend on how this admin and the future admins handles things. Right now we aren't faring well, our OFW remitances beats out FDI; we are lagging behind our ASEAN neighbors in FDI. If oppurtunity will be knocking when BRIC is lagging, sadly it will knock on other countries door.

I like to be optimistic but people already mention several things here why this event wont take place.. 60-40, discipline, corruption etc... honestly we are far away from what this analyst claims; in fairness to him he was bullish to other countries than us.

Samot na nga di jud ta mu forward ani kay halos tanan tawo puro negative ang panghuna huna. Dili kompleto ug data sa atung ekonomiya nya mu Conclude dayun nga way chance. Conclude nga way chance pero ang ipakita nga ebidensya pirti ra tawng mabawa like Nag close an isa ka companya, squaters, unemployment. Kahibalo man ta nga Pobre atung nasud PERO murag di man guro ing ana ka sayun ang pag determine sa isa ka ecomiya nga naay 90+ milyon ka tawo. Knowing nga nag close ang isa ka company Doesnt Make Us expert sa Economics or Political aspect sa atung nasud, samut na ang paghatag ug Conclusion nga way chance.

Maypa cguro atung tukion is "IF NAA BAY CHANCE MU IMPROVE ATUNG NASUD" - Nya unsay atong mahimu para ma achieve na.
