what a relief sir..thank you for answering my questions...so, ill just try breeding them to see the results...im not a big time fighting cock breeder anyway...its just for fun, my mom doesn't allow me at this moment to go into cock fighting, i tried once but na bihag akong manok...tsk2! it wasn't my luck...so my mom decided to let me stop keeping cock fighting roosters...mag breed ko, pero kutob ra dha...thanks kaayo sir...

My love is the breeding aspect about genetics and hereditary traits... Bisan mka daog lang 500 akong manok basta khbaw ko ako ang g selection sa breeding malipay nko... Imaginon lang nimo ang possible looks and fighting style sa manok malipay nka... If mka daog ka, walay mka lupig sa feeling... Dli tungod sa kwarta kungdi sa pride nga imong breeding ng daog...

I want to be competitive sa cockfighting scene sa among province and hopefully Cebu that is why I am concentrating in producing quality western gamefowls... I know asil grading is too time consuming and gasto... It takes the most patient breeders of this sport ky pila pka ka years usa nimo ma "perfect" ang usa ka line much more experimenting with oriental fowls...

But I think from your posts sir that you are a genuine animal lover so you have all the time and patience in the world to produce magnificent fighting machines that are unique in this sport we call cockfighting...

same jud ta ug goal sir, wa mn koy pake sa pusta as long as you are proud of your rooster, nga imuha jud ng breed..imong gi hatagan ug time para mka up grade ka...di jud btw ma lupig ang feeling being proud of what you achieved...

I also have a few chickens at home, leftovers from the time my dad kept chickens and fought hacks on sundays. I also have asils, but they are graded asils (american X asils), since pure asils are usually not be bred for the knife and are best suited for the naked heel. Since naked heel fighting is different from knife fighting, you should also chose asils that do not have styles that could get them killed when fighting in the knife.

The ones I have, have fought well enough, have nice bodies, are healthier than the average american fowl and rarely get sick, are really tame and are easy to match in the hacks. but they are still late maturing (compared to early maturing american fowl) are heavier than they look and eat more than my american chickens.

this breed is common in mindanao area bro...sa cebu nihit na au ang asil...chamba lng ka ug mka kuha ka ug pure bred asil, kasagaran diri na mix na.. sigon may tawag ana sa cebu...
