    the thing with xlibris is they prefer quantity over quality. sa ako nabantayan (been with them for 10 months), pampered ang mga agents (sales, CSRs, MSRs), daghan sila incentives and spiffs. but on the other side of the story, luoy kaayo ang operations sa creative side (designers, web, writers, editors). pinaspasay dapat ang trabaho. wa sila kasabot unsay difference sa artist ug factory worker. lahi baya ang drive sa mga creative nga taw. ang mga writers,editors ug designers ganahan ug nindot nga trabaho, kanang nindot ug quality, kanang pwede nila ipanghambog nga ilang gi-create. dili pareha sa sales nga padaghanay ug halin. nag mass resignation ang mga taw sa creative side kay bati na kaayo ang work conditions. maka-wala ug gana. so i left.

    mao ra ni ako opinion. maybe ang uban nganha nindot ug experience.

    and i'd like to highlight this statement : "workload? nah! gudlak! stressful, very stressful."

    I was with xl sales and i could say that no matter how good you are and how hardworking you may be, it all boils down to luck and patience.

    I did voluntary (unpaid) OT for at least an hour or 2 everyday just to keep up with the quota and unfortunately, it was still to no avail. Major challenges being encountered by sales reps are authors backing out at the last minute, overpromising authors and dealing with bad blogs.

    If given a choice, I would have never resigned from XL. Contrary to what others are saying here, the environment is quite fun, (i.e. spiffs like a PHP500 gift check per $1,000 sale, or free LAYs chips for every sale below $500 or a chance to cash out on appliances even). In addition, team outings are really a hoot and a half, as supes tend to go overboard since they have a lot of moolah. Unfortunately for me, I was too soft hearted with the authors and too affected with the daily pressure of achieving the quota. So I quit before the stress took its toll on me.

    My tips for upcoming sales reps, train yourself to be a top seller, practice good rebuttals and win 'arguments'. If you really are THAT smooth in sales talk and calloused with pressure, then you can be the next tier1 top earner, in as early as 3months. Rest assured, they really do give out spiffs and commissions. I personally saw one of my tier1 teammates with a clean 80k paycheck on the 30th, and this was just reaching that ridiculously high quota and not going overboard.

    So goodluck to the would be sales peeps!
