Astang... Nganu karon paman ni nga College nako. Mai tong pabayron kato mga tawhana nga nagpaluhod nakog asin. haha![]()
My opinion for this? neutral and undecided.....
Hitting a child is a big no-no for me... they're innocent. They just do what the feel like doing cuz they're curious bisag unsaon nimug badlong na dili musaka sa punu-an sa kamatis, musaka pa gihapon na cuz they want to get the answer to their questions... Which is healthy for a child... I guess ang ubang parent's mag in-A.O naman kay di ganahan masakitan ila anak(kinsa man pud ang ganahan ana)... however, we just gotta face the fact that a child won't learn unless it gets hurt.... because of curiosity... It's unavoidable... it hapens... mistakes happens thats why parents are there to further teach them lessons and correct their mistakes. The GENTLE way.
What I don't like about not hitting a child is the fact that there are SOME children out there (18 years old and below) who abuses such rights.... try watching documentaries about young criminals...drug pushers below 18, child prostitution, thieves.... they abuse their right to not get arrested because they're minors...
Unsa na lang kaha mahitabo if bawal najud manghapak ug bata? if there's a RIGHT, there's always a way to abuse it.... sad to say....
but anyway,
Good VIBES!
Kung ganahan mo ug mamunal dad.a sa mandaue or talisayCebu City Council approved the ordinance that bans corporal punishment in the city.
hehehe
If you're talking about the United States being the western country with the most influence in our culture, corporal punishment of minors within domestic settings is still lawful in all 50 states. The reason why it is still not outlawed in the US because majority of the pure Americans are still deeply rooted in protestant-evangelical beliefs which promotes corporal punishment. I could still remember when i was in Grade 5 nag eskwela ko sa Bible Baptist Academy (US based), i received 6 paddle hit 90 degree in my butt as a punishment for incurring in excess of 3 suspension days.
I beg to disagree that it's a disaster in the making. Sa una i tend to believe this view until i found out that many european countries had already outlawed corporal punishment as early as 33 years ago:
Sweden (1979)
Finland (1983)
Norway (1987)
Austria (1989)
Estonia (1993)
Cyprus (1994)
Denmark (1997)
Latvia (1998
Croatia (1999)
Bulgaria (2000)
Israel (2000)
Germany (2000)
Iceland (2003)
Ukraine (2004)
Romania (2004)
Hungary (2005)
Greece (2006)
Netherlands (2007)
New Zealand (2007)
Portugal (2007)
Uruguay (2007)
Venezuela (2007)
Spain (2007)
Togo (2007)
Costa Rica (2008
Republic of Moldova (2008
Luxembourg (2008
Liechtenstein (2008
Poland (2010)
Tunisia (2010)
Kenya (2010)
Congo, Republic of (2010)
South Sudan (2011)
As you would notice those early in the list are the most progressive countries in the world.
