to TS: regarding your thread's question?
answer is this: if forefather LAPU LAPU has defended all he can give to Ma'tan Island against a powerful force from an advanced nation as Spain, would you try to do so at least on our generation? Ako, against my will, i will do the honor of trying to defend it.
the issue now man gud is not so much about the shoal anymore. it's about the issue of territory. pwerteng layoa sa ilahang lugar pero mangangkon sila ug dapit ra sa atoa. plus the fact na ang lugar is a vital trading route. kabalo ang China ana kai sila mismo kabalo sila ana kai nangagi sad sila ana na dagat even on ancient times. sounds familiar? di ba mao man sad na ang rason why Spain wanted to control Philippines in the first place because according to our history classes, Spain is on the misson for the 3G's: God, Gold and Glory? not to mention the spices. hehehehehehe

Yes ko because International Law is on our side but useless if China does not submit itself to the International Court. Daghan resources sa Scar na magamit sa Pilipinas ( i hope dli lng mo agi na sad ug corruption/contribersya/etc)
never shoot first. just shoot back (if naay pay budget ang navy)
people who say "never shoot first" do not know what war is.
and I suppose you do, friend?
Wala tay pre-emptive capabilities, so can it with your hawkish banter. After we'd fire one bullet, The Chinese would retaliate with several bombs--and the world wouldn't give a hoot because we started it.
Pa-gahiay ra jud nig ulo. And the world knows, we are people with the hardest craniums in the known universe.

^ Maybe after the Jews. They have the hardest. They were suppose to reach promise land in an 11-day journey but arrive there 40 years later.
China-Philippine crisis has all been a waiting game from the start. The stubborn one wins and I'm glad were really standing up to the Chicoms.
