Dolphy as National Artist, why not the rest of the celebrity world?

I believe to be labelled a National Artist, one's life work must represent the values of a nation.

Why not the rest of the celebrity world?

Because most of them hardly have any talent. 'Good looks' don't count, or else we'd call them furnitures not actors.

If Pidol deserves to be called National Artist, why rush? In that case the honor maybe given to him due to his recent condition which is not good to hear. Likewise people will put too much expectation for him but may fail. Let the assigned committee do their jobs.

para nako, usa na siya sa foundation sa philippine cinema/tv/entertainment etc.
