hehe I'm not kidding Sir. When I went to their office, there were 4 of us bringing our individual subpoena. Why don't you ask them (CITOM pipz) there if you want to make sure. As I said, it's a City Ordinance, meaning, only in Cebu City

My only advice Sir when you receive the Citation Ticket, please settle it ASAP. I even called our lawyer. And it was the first time he heard of that criminal violation. hehehe

I experienced it first hand, so definitely the subpoena thing is true. But as to what I read in our local newspaper, CITOM gives enough time to settle the dues after receiving the subpoena. And that was my case.

I've received a Citation Ticket for going straight under a flyover(same direction w/ the flyover). I just followed a car who had passed first, but unfortunately, the CITOM guy just made para me. I just knew at that time that it is a violation T.T. BTW, I drove an SUV that time.
He gave me a Citation Ticket. I immediately asked some of my friends about receiving such paper. They told me to wait for the renewal of my driver's license. After several months, guess what, I receive a subpoena.
That's the meaning of
"Failure to appear or report within the period stipulated will mean a waiver and criminal complaint against you"
And this line is written in very tiny text at the lower portion of the paper! WTF! I just read that one when I received the subpoena!
My violation would have costed less than Php 500.00. Instead, I spent around 3k to pay for the dues. And I was the one who went to the RTC to settle the charge.

It's a new City Ordinance. I think around last year or the other year.

TS: better settle that one ASAP. It will just cost you less than 1k.
