It's a free country, man.. but airplanes are faster and safer than our boats. You complained about wasting half a day going to the airline company's office, but you don't mind taking a day longer to reach your destination? Ok....

@ lhorenzoo: opting for boat instead of cebu pacific is a far more effective way to discipline the airline... if more people do what you are doing then cebu pacific will have to advertise more honestly and serve customers with more transparency.... that is a healthy business-consumer relationship, when government is not used to enforce another bureaucracy...
before boss emow is mag airplane jud ko and i was so disgusted by this one peso promo fare that i tried opting for boat to Manila. lingaw man sad diay sa barko so now,i make it a point nga if mada ra barko, magbarko ra gyud ko except on cases of emergency gyud nga magdali .
^ so it turned out alright for you bro... your perception of the airline's dishonesty has caused you to opt for a boat. The boat profits from your disgust of the airline. And if the airline wants to lure you and other customers again, it must offer something that is different from its "dishonest" promo rates and outweighs the benefits of riding a boat... That i say, is what the business-consumer environment should be... although it is within our human nature to exact revenge against the dishonest business, but let us do it without government regulation... Government regulation is like a chemo drug, it addresses the cancer but at the same time cause a whole lot of problems on the side.
yes boss, tinuod gyud , its my own way to get back at these airline companies that make foolish ads.akong reklamo pinaagi man sa pagboycott sa pagsakay sa ilang air transport.kong ang uban pud untang consumers ingon ana sad unta nga imbis magsige yangu -ngu nga wa mahimo , mao na lang way nga ingon ana.
Unsay naka dishonest sa Cebu Pacific mga bossing ?
its not so much dishonesty... pero murag sobra ra kaayo ilang advertisment.
Apil man gyud ang fuel and taxes sa fare so why try to make it appear nga piso ra ang fare... its quite misleading to me.
Yes, its marketings job to sell seats but its also governments responsibility to regulate marketing practices like this. the whole industry should post the full/actual price in their ads instead of saying nga tag piso ra para ma hook ka sa ilang website then sa last minute pa ka ingnon kung pila gyud ang actual fare...
Its an unethical business practice imho and the whole industry needs to stop this foolishness.
businesses who intentionally lie do not last long...not because the government shuts them down...but because they lose customers... The free market naturally punishes businesses who engage in dishonest practices... but a government intervention creates additional more problems than the one being addressed.
With the Cebu Pacific issue, i do not believe they are engaging a dishonest ad... Maybe because i am already aware of this marketing ploy... it is not exclusively done by cebu pacific but also with other businesses and other industries and even the government programs... if you don't agree with what they say, you always have the choice to opt out...
^ It's called marketing.![]()
